T-PLAS – International Trade Fair for the Plastics and Rubber Industries held in Bangkok will now move to 2023
The upcoming edition of T-PLAS will move to 2023 and will now take place from 20 – 23 September at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand. This move from the previously announced dates in February of next year was deemed necessary in view of the recent uncertainties surrounding the arrival of the coronavirus Omicron variant, new travel restrictions, quarantine requirements, as well as suspended air travel from variant hit countries.
“We were optimistic of a 2022 edition of T-PLAS, however with the advent of the new variant this has required a re-evaluation of the already fluid landscape. Thus, in the interest of our exhibitors, visitors and all stakeholders involved, and for better planning certainty, moving the trade fair is the right decision,” said Mr Gernot Ringling, Managing Director, Messe Düsseldorf Asia.
“In addition, for better resource and investment planning for the plastics and rubber sector, in view of K firmly positioned on the plastics trade fair calendar in the second half of next year in Düsseldorf, this posed another impetus to move T-PLAS to 2023 rather than later in 2022. We are confident that in these two years, with the additional planning and preparation time, we will deliver an even more dynamic T-PLAS for the Southeast Asian region in 2023 that fully optimises participant investment in time and resources,” Mr Ringling added.
K, held every three years, is the world's leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry organised by Messe Düsseldorf, and will be held from 19-26 October 2022.
